Janine led this mid-week walk, from Emerald
to Cockatoo. Most of the walk was in shady
forest and the track in great shape.

The track is often close to the Puffing Billy
railway line - meandering through the forest.

This lovely little lake - aptly named. We walked
around Emerald Lake before stopping for tea.

We had our morning tea gazing at the view.
It really is a tough life!!

Near the beginning of the walk, crossing a
bridge at Emerald Lake - before entering
the forest.

A gorge of tree ferns taken from one of the
bridges; we had a lovely day for this walk

crossed during this lovely walk

The bustling railway station in the middle of
the Wright forest.

All one's ducks in a row? Off to the river for
a cool swim - it was pretty warm, even in the
forest

A Palomino type horse - his (?) colour looks
great against the green.

Arnis' pic showing dyslexic hikers ignoring
traffic sign; he was the sole lawful walker.
Taken walking up Joy Avenue in Mt Evelyn,
during the Oxfam stage 5 walk from Olinda.

Val's walk on Sorrento back beach. Pic taken
of the car park and beach from the lookout at
the end of the walk (also where we started).

Barbara's pic of a gecko taken during the walk.
It posed dead still for the pic - most co-operative.

Looking back at the starting point below the
lookout, showing the beaches

We had morning tea on that rocky outcrop
above the steps.

Barbara's pic of the group having tea. Great
views.

Chris and Ken - what friendly folk we have
walking with us!

A short detour down to a beach to see the
interesting rock formation

Rudi's pic of an interesting flower; the lack
of colour makes the image almost like a black
and white pic.

Petrified log on the beach where we stopped
for our lunch

A short climb to the lookout at the end of the
walk. The views from here were great.

Chris and Val tip-toeing throught the
"tulips". About 15 minutes into the walk from
Olinda Golf Club to the Graham Colling Reserve
at Mt Evelyn

Morning tea at the Valley Picnic site in the forest
below Olinda and the Rhododendron Gardens

This was a very steep descent - with loose stones
demanding extremely careful stepping.
