Chris' walk led by Janine. The only pic to pass the censor was Mick at tea time, sitting nice and dry.

Arnis' outing to French Island. 20 of us about to embark on the ferry on a beautiful sunny morning.
The ferry arrives to take us across to the Island. Scroll down and then click on "older posts" to see all the pics.
A few hardy souls braved the morning chill on the upper deck - Carmel, Janine, Honey (sp?) and Marg.
The view back to the mainland - the refinery at Hastings
A veritable graveyard of vehicles - just left to rust and rot - more to come!
Our second mode of transport - the bus to take us to the start of our walk.
Another abandoned car - with some humour
Morning tea with most folk seeking the shade
Barb's lovely pic of the Duck Orchid
This youngster let us get quite close, before scampering away - Barb's pic
Snakes alive! But he decided to stay put and ignore us
Barb's pic of the lone echidna spotted - very shy
Barbara just after taking a muddy swim - and nearly having another!
Trying to walk on the narrow, higher strips - a hazardous balancing act.
It just went on getting deeper - on and on!!
Lunch taken on the side of the road - waiting for the bus to pick us up
Drying out or sleeping - perhaps post prandium peace!!
Our final stop before the long-awaited tea. A barge jetty.
Our bumpy bus - or was it the road?
Out tour guide Lois Airs passing on the history - just before serving tea
Just couldn't resist another pic of dis"car"ded vehicles
Quite the boss around the farm
Devonshire tea at the Airs farm and mingling with the animals - tame and wild
Wonderful ice-cream cones sent us on our way back to the ferry and the mainland. A quite unforgetable outing.
